Franklin Wine Festival Prepares to Pop the Cork for 2012
The committee has begun preparation for the eighth annual Franklin Wine Festival, presented by Cool Springs Wines and Spirits and supported by Nissan, held its committee kick off in the Oak Room of Cool Springs Wines and Spirits. The annual food and wine tasting event is a benefit for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, and will be held Friday, October 19 at the Factory at Franklin.

Runners and Walkers Raise More Than $90,000 for Children
For the eighth year, supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters have joined with country music’s Diamond Rio’s Team Rio to run or walk the Country Music Marathon and raise funds for local children. This year over 100 runners and walkers, as well as a cycling team spinning on stationery cycles, came together to raise over $90,000 helping provide children with a positive adult role model in their lives.
PREDATORS FOUNDATION TO DISTRIBUTE A RECORD $350,000 IN GRANTS TO AREA CHARITIES
Friday, April 20, the Nashville Predators Foundation distributed 113 grants, totaling $350,269 to Nashville and Middle Tennessee-based community service and charitable organizations. The grants will be presented during a 12 p.m. ceremony at Bridgestone Arena in the meeting rooms.
