Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, in partnership with City Auto, will host its second annual Over The Edge Nashville on Friday, April 21, 2017. Brave supporters, known as Edgers, will have the chance to rappel the 23-story, 269-foot tall Omni Nashville Hotel after having raised $1,000 in donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Registration is still open for Edgers to sign up and hit the goal until Monday, April 17.This year’s event will also feature a lively street party while the Edgers rappel, for those wanting to support from the ground. The event includes a rock climbing wall, DJ, corn hole, photo booth sponsored by Delta Dental, and City Auto cars, as well as food and drinks available for purchase from Cousins Maine Lobster, Dawg Daze and Shotgun Willie food trucks. Attendees will also be able to meet Vanderbilt University Women’s Basketball Coach Stephanie White and school mascot Mr. C. Nashville Sounds mascot Booster will also mingle for pictures and autographs.
“The street party will welcome those who have supported the Edgers and who want to support Big Brothers Big Sisters, but might not be comfortable with the rappelling aspect themselves,” said Carlyle Carroll, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. “We hope to see a large turnout to cheer on our Edgers and raise money for a great cause.” The event will also be live streamed on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Facebook page.
Less than 10 Edger spots remain available for those who can raise the $1,000 by April 17. Registration is still open at www.OverTheEdgeNashville.com.
